February is Black History Month, and we’re taking this time to reflect on the achievements of Black people throughout history and celebrate Black-owned businesses. Below are Black-owned and founded beauty brands we love; many support their communities by not only producing amazing products but also by doing charity work.

This awesome brand has been featured in Essence and is sold at major retailers like Target. Black Girl Sunscreen was created because many traditional sunscreens leave a white residue, which is not ideal for people of color. We love that all of their products have no parabens or harmful chemicals, and that they are committed to sprinkling “melanin magic” everywhere.
